One-story or two? That was the question of the day on Saturday, Aug. 3 among home shoppers who came out for a ‘First Look’ at Skye Canyon’s two new neighborhoods by Century Communities, Madera and Northglenn. The five model homes and six floor plan options drew more than 300 people who were able to preview the new offerings in Skye Canyon’s Phase 2. While there is so much to love about Madera and Northglenn, everyone agreed both offer a premier location, enticing upgrades, and a can’t-beat-it price. Both neighborhoods start in the low $300s.

Madera, a single-story community, located at 8162 Desert Madera St., includes three floorplans, two that are modeled, ranging from 1,636 to 1,816 square feet. All homes include 10-foot ceilings, and homebuyers can choose from three or four bedrooms. Single-story homes are a hot commodity in Las Vegas, 64 available homesites at Madera are sure to be snapped up quickly.

Northglenn’s model home park is located at 10773 Edgestone Ave. and includes three modeled floor plans ranging from 2,396 to 2,605 square feet. This two-story community includes nine-foot ceilings on both floors, and shoppers can select options such as four or five bedrooms, a first-floor bedroom suite, and a casita.

Both Madera and Northglenn are located just a short walk from Somerset Academy. Along with ample storage and closet space and generous two-car garages, this was a big crowd-pleaser for the many families at the event. Despite the summer heat, home shoppers were energized by the cool list of upgrades and details offered by Century Communities. Some favorites were the paver walkways, two-and-a-quarter-inch granite countertops along with a standard kitchen package featuring stainless-steel, gas cooktop stove with five burners and a canopy hood, a single wall oven, built-in microwave, and of course a dishwasher.

In keeping with Skye Canyon’s indoor-outdoor way of life, homeowners will enjoy the sweeping mountain views since all Madera and Northglenn homes feature eight-foot sliding glass doors. Madera and Northglenn residents will flourish at Skye Canyon, which offers a packed calendar of resident-only events. This include outdoor excursions, classes at Skye fitness, resident gatherings, and community-wide public events like the upcoming Chalk + Cheers chalk, a juried art competition and fall festival on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

First Look attendees participated in what’s become a Skye Canyon tradition, the First Look Giveaway! On lucky winner took home a $250 gift card for Smith’s, while another will be treating friends to a foursome of golf at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, which is a Skye Pass partner. Other prizes included two Skye Canyon cornhole games, and a Skye Canyon prize pack.
