Home / Blog / First Look: Phase 2 Recap

The housing market in Las Vegas is as hot as a desert summer day. In fact, despite temperatures soaring above 105 on Saturday, June 23, more than 1,000 home shoppers flocked to Skye Canyon for First Look: Phase 2.  Maybe it was the rumors of crisp mountain air that flows down from the Spring Mountains and keeps the community cooler than the rest of the valley, or intrigue about Skye Canyon’s signature indoor-outdoor living style that makes it one of the top-20 master-planned developments in the country.

Whatever the case, the event celebrating Skye Canyon’s second phase of development unveiled 24 new floor plans from four of Las Vegas’ favorite homebuilders, Pardee Homes, Pulte Homes, Richmond-American Homes, and Woodside Homes. Floor plans range in size from 1,470 to 3,386 square feet in both one and two-story homes that satisfy shoppers in every stage of life.

At the event, there was a lot of buzz about the unique indoor-outdoor features such as Pardee Homes’ Onyx models with entryway courtyards that have an inviting Zen flavor. Pardee’s sleek floating staircase is an elegant and modern touch that had shoppers raving. Another favorite feature was a backyard pool that becomes a tranquil element of the living experience when the room’s floor to ceiling glass sliding doors are open.

Guests were impressed with the Woodside Homes’ two-story Pinyon Chase neighborhood models that offer classic Southwestern styling and indoor-outdoor living features like a patio with a backyard barbeque and pizza oven. Because even on the hottest desert day, everyone loves pizza.

Of course, all homebuilders offer backyards with plenty of room for luxurious lounge chairs to take in Skye Canyon’s star-filled night sky.
In Phase 2 Skye Canyon welcomes homebuilder Richmond-American Homes. Young families were excited about the builder’s well-laid floor plans in stylish two-story starter homes that start in the upper $200s, a price-point that is hard to find in Las Vegas. The builder also offers one-story plans starting in the low $300s that range from 1,700 to 1,950 square feet.

Discerning shoppers appreciated how Pulte Homes combined style and utility in its Phase 2 models. For example, in its Eagle Ridge neighborhood two-story model, a bar and shelving are tucked under a staircase providing an excellent and unique use of space. In its one-story neighborhood Solitude, Pulte offers shopper three floor plans ranging from 1,959 to 2,462 square feet.

Those who attended First Look Phase 2 also took part in Skye Canyon’s Passport to Win giveaway for a chance to win experiences such as Disneyland Park Hopper tickets, and Wet n’ Wild season passes, rounds of golf at Las Vegas Paiute Golf resort, among other goodies.

The prices in Phase 2 start in the upper $200s. Shoppers can begin their Skye Canyon adventure at Skye Center located in Skye Canyon Park at 10111 W. Skye Canyon Park Drive. Shoppers will discover helpful interactive home finding tools. Skye Center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and all models are also open daily.
