Several spots still available for Skye Canyon’s annual juried chalk art competition that offers cash prizes.
What: Artist registration for Skye Canyon’s Chalk & Cheers juried art competition ends Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019. The event is the community’s third annual juried chalk art competition. This year’s theme is ‘Inspire-Be-Inspired.’ A total of 45 chalk artists will compete in three categories: high school, amateur, and professional artist, for top honors and cash prize; $250 for first place, $100 for second place, and $50 for third place. Registration is free.
New this year are $100 cash prizes for one winner in two new categories: Best 3D piece and Best Use of Color. As in previous years, attendees will vote on the People’s Choice Winner, a $300 cash award. Registration is free and limited to 45 artists.
