LAS VEGAS – Skye Canyon, the next generation master planned community, welcomed more than 3,000 prospective homebuyers to its public grand opening of Skye Canyon on Saturday, Mar. 19, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Prospective homebuyers enjoyed a free pancake breakfast and smoothies from the Skye Center Bistro. Other event activities included a farmers market produced by Connors Farmers Market, which is known for offering exceptional farm-to-community experiences. Local vendors included C&D Honey Company, Van Dyke Farms, and Winder Farms among others. There were also a variety of kid-friendly activities throughout the event.
Guests also participated in the Passport Giveaway where they had the opportunity to win $1,000 in cash and other prizes by touring model homes from the community’s Phase 1 homebuilders, Pulte Homes, Inc., Woodside Homes, and Century Communities. Skye Canyon’s most recent addition, Pardee Homes also participated; the builder’s model home park will be ready later this summer so guests learned about its neighborhood Keystone at the Pardee Homes booth. Other prizes included a Star Trac Spinner bike, Samsung Galaxy tablets, and four $250 Visa gift cards.
The 1,700-acre master-planned community in Northwest Las Vegas is referred to as the base camp for the great outdoors with its fusion of healthy lifestyles and outdoor activity. Prospective homebuyers also had a first look at Skye Canyon Park, which includes Skye Center, an 8,142-square-foot rustic contemporary community center featuring The Bistro, a coffee and wine bar, outdoor patio, fireplace and fire pits, as well as interactive home finding tools. Guests also toured Skye Fitness, a 9,663-square-foot state-of-the-art facility that includes a juice bar, yoga room, and an outdoor Junior Olympic swimming pool.
