Skye Canyon Adds Farmers Market to Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, March 19, 2016
Grand opening features a host of family-friendly events and prize giveaways
Skye Canyon, a 1,700-acre master planned community in Northwest Las Vegas that is the base camp for the great outdoors, has added a farmers market that includes more than 20 vendors to the lineup of activities for its grand opening celebration taking place Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The public in invited to enjoy a free pancake breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m.
The farmers market is produced by Connors Farmers Market, which is known for offering exceptional farm to community experiences. Local vendors will include C&D Honey Company, Van Dyke Farms, Winder Farms, among others.
Pressed juices from Grass Roots Juice Bar will be offered throughout the event at the Skye Fitness Juice Bar, along with smoothies from the Skye Center Bistro. There will also be a variety of kid-friendly activities.
Attendees can enter the Passport to Win Giveaway and have a chance to win the $1,000 cash grand prize by touring model homes from Century Communities, Pulte Homes, Inc. and Woodside Homes, along with visiting Pardee Homes’ booth inside Skye Center. Pardee Homes is Skye Canyon’s latest homebuilder; they will offer a sneak peak at model home designs and offer guests a chance to win great prizes. Other Passport to Win Giveaway prizes include outdoor gear, clothing and gift cards.
Guests will get a first look at the 15-acre community hub Skye Canyon Park that includes amenities such as basketball court, sports field, multiple tot lots, splash and play parks, multi-purpose trails. Also featured in the park are Skye Center and Skye Fitness, rustic contemporary buildings reflecting the community’s outdoor lifestyle.
Skye Center is an 8,142-square-foot community center that includes a café, an open-air bistro and wine bar as well as interactive home finding tools for prospective homebuyers. Skye Fitness is a 9,663-square-foot facility open to community residents and features impressive open-beam ceilings. It includes a juice bar, yoga room, top-of-the-line fitness equipment and an outdoor Junior Olympic swimming pool. An on-site lifestyle director will facilitate residents’ fitness activities and outdoor adventures such as hiking, skiing and camping.
Skye Canyon is the first master planned community to break ground in Las Vegas in nearly a decade and will include 9,000 home sites.
