LAS VEGAS (Nov. 4, 2016)Skye Canyon, a 1,700-acre master-planned community in Northwest Las Vegas hosts Lee Canyon’s premier Pray for Snow party at Skye Center on Saturday, November 19, 2016, from 3 – 7 p.m. The après ski themed party that includes food, beverages, live music and a raffle, kicks off the 2016/2017 ski season at Lee Canyon. It is free for all ages and is open to the public. Pray for Snow is a part of Skye Canyon’s Fit Lives Here series.

Attendees who tour Skye Canyon’s model home parks will be entered into a raffle to win prizes including a Lee Canyon Snow Experience that includes lift tickets and equipment rental, Lee Canyon’s snow cabana for six people (including a $300 food and beverage credit), Salomon skis, a Never Summer snowboard and Skye Canyon branded North Face jackets. Participants receive one raffle ticket for every model home park visited, with the opportunity to earn four entries by touring Century Communities, Pulte Homes, Woodside Homes, and Pardee Homes.

In addition, for every $5 donation made to Operation Warmheart, the event’s non-profit partner that provides assistance to service members and their families going through hardships, guests will receive one raffle ticket to a second drawing to win a 49” LG HD TV courtesy of CenturyLink. Funds raised will be used towards providing 500 complete turkey meals to airmen in need this Thanksgiving.

Pray for Snow guests can pick up or purchase their Lee Canyon season pass, enjoy food and beverages like gourmet hot chocolate and chili stations, and a take-home s’mores gift box from Just a Bite.

Las Vegas band Street Folk who regularly appear at Lee Canyon will perform. The band is a local’s favorite known for their harmonies and unique blend of popular music that includes everything from Queen to Drake.

Lee Canyon is Skye Canyon’s inaugural partner in the development’s Skye Pass Program, which offers Skye Canyon residents benefits such as discounts on lift tickets and season passes. Lee Canyon is slated to open Friday, December 9. Lifts open at 9 a.m. and lifts will run until 4 p.m. Lee Canyon encourages individuals to purchase tickets online to take advantage of up to 35 percent savings on lift tickets. Fit Lives Here is a series of community events hosted at Skye Canyon. In the coming months, plans for the program include activities such as outdoor yoga, fitness classes and Q&A’s and slideshows with prominent outdoor athletes that are free and open to the public.
