Home / Press Releases / Skye Canyon Master Planned Community Renames Horse Drive to Skye Canyon Park Drive in Northwest Las Vegas

What: The street and exit formerly known as Horse Drive, off of U.S. Highway 95 in Northwest Las Vegas, was renamed Skye Canyon Park Drive on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015. The change is a part of Las Vegas’ newest master-planned community, Skye Canyon. Olympia Companies, developer of the 1,700-acre community, worked with the City of Las Vegas, Las Vegas City Council, Councilman Steve Ross, and the Nevada Department of Transportation to rename the street to commemorate the new development. All Horse Drive signage in the area has been replaced to reflect the new Skye Canyon Park Drive street name.

Skye Canyon, a short drive to Downtown Las Vegas and the base camp for the great outdoors, will be a special community for people who share a passion for outdoor activity and immersive living. Amenities include designated bike lanes on all major streets, an extensive network of hiking and biking trails, community parks, a state-of-the-art fitness center and an 8,142-square-foot community center with juice bar, fireplaces and outdoor fire pits, coffee shop, wine bar, and open-air cantina.
