Monica Harter was raised in Iowa where wide open yards made it easy to become friendly with neighbors. She feared things would be different in Las Vegas. However, choosing to live in Skye Canyon proved to be just like home.

Things worth celebrating: the creativity of our community, Nevada’s outdoor landscapes, food, and libations. That’s why we created Chalk + Cheers, a chalk art competition and art fair that is taking place Saturday, Sept. 30 at Skye Canyon Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
